Just like your fav football player, the pain can come after the tackle (or accident)
You’re watching a playoff game when your favorite player is tackled. You hold your breath only exhaling when he gets up, seemingly uninjured.
What we don’t see are the injuries that appear hours or days later. The delayed reaction comes from the adrenaline and endorphins their bodies generate when tackled. These two chemicals operate to super-charge their bodies and even block pain. But only for a while.
Many car accident victims experience a similar pattern. Just because you feel fine immediately following a car accident, doesn’t necessarily mean that you are fine. Once the release of those chemicals subsides, the pain from any car accident injuries could start to set in.
Just like that athlete, you need to listen to your body and get medical care immediately.
*And, just like that star athlete has a team of expert lawyers representing him, don’t forget to call your personal injury lawyer once the shock of the accident wears off.
